For many years... I have been keenly interested in complimentary therapies that are gentle and helpful. Therefore, to build on over 25 years as a Registered Nurse (specializing in emergency medicine and palliative care), I qualified as a Registered Reflexology Therapist in 1998. I also completed the 2-year Holistic Health Program at Langara College in 2001. Six years later, I became a Certified Bowen Work Therapist.
I have been a member of the Reflexology Association of Canada since 1998 and was certified by the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia in 2007. Ongoing training has included: Cranio-sacral Reflexology, Sport Bowen, and Bowen Bridge – Level 1 and Special Procedures level 1 of Bowenwork. I am currently working on Bowenwork Special procedures 2 which offers more moves for difficult problems and cranio-sacral reflexology advanced. I recently became a member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada.
My husband, John, and I now live in Victoria, BC. Canada. We once operated a mixed grain farm in the Dawson Creek area. We also lived aboard our sail boat for 15 years. Doing that allowed us to develop a true love of water and great respect for the marine environment. We share a strong interest in preserving local farm land and, by buying locally produced food that is high in nutrients and full of fantastic flavor, we support local farmers. We love our 4 children, 8 grandchildren and ‘Drake’ (our dog). Golfing, bike riding, gardening, and renovating take up our spare time.
